In the last decade, oral implantology has become very popular among dentists because of the important advantages they offer to the doctor in developing the treatment plan and also because of the advantages offered to patients: aesthetics and comfort. The number of dental implants inserted worldwide has increased markedly. And with these, biological, technical and human error complications have increased proportionally. During the allotted time, we will present aesthetic complications of the implant-prosthetic treatment and possibilities of improving the aesthetic aspect in various clinical situations.

While dental implants have proven in the last decades to be a very safe and predictable replacement for lost teeth, achieving an esthetic result still represents a challenge in many cases. This is caused mainly by the fact that implants are almost always narrower than the teeth they replace, and the transition from the implant platform to the prosthetic restoration may have an unnatural appearance if the emergence profile is not shaped accordingly.

This presentation will discuss different methods of shaping the emergence profile of implant supported restoration, based on the topography of the tooth, timing of treatment and complexity of the case. We will discuss cases with single unit implant restorations in between natural teeth – the most challenging situation from an esthetic point of view – quadrant cases and full arch cases without pink prosthetic parts.

Dentistry is undergoing fundamental changes. Materials and treatment workflows are evolving rapidly. Dentists are facing the challange of deciding on which treatment workflows would actually benefit their patients. This lecture aims to provide firsthand knowledge on the use of multiple CAD/CAM systems in daily practice. Furthermore, the rationale behind the implementation of the workflows will be outlined along with the scientific backgrounds. After the lecture, listeners should feel confident in regard to what chairside CAD/CAM workflows work predictable in daily use to be able to decide in which way they might benefit them individualy.

While the materials available for direct restorations has changed little over the past 25 years, the number and types of materials for indirect restorations has grown almost exponentially. Patient's increasing demands for metal free, highly aesthetic restorations has been met by the profession with a number of new, but untested, materials that has led to confusion regarding what materials are appropriate to use in specific situations. Additionally, the era of digital dentistry has opened up new possibilities and manufacturers are rushing to create restorative materials that are compatible with this advancing technology. The new materials are not only esthetic, they are helping to advance the philosophy of minimally invasive dentistry and in this regard, they necessitate a change in tooth preparation techniques. This lecture will give an overview of available materials for indirect restorations and provide a guideline for their use based on the literature and over 25 years of experience with metal free restorations. New concepts in tooth preparation techniques will also be discussed.

FTR are la baza condilografia si transferul tuturor informatiilor din cabinetul stomatologic in laboratorul de tehnica dentara.
De ce condiligrafia?
Deoarece dup ce s-au montat modelele corect in articulator cu suportul arcului facial si s-a programat articulatorul , tehnicianul dentar va fii ghidat de dinamica mandibulara reprodusa pe articulator , unde sa pozitioneze aceste volume reprezentate de fatete, coroane sau punti.

FTR inglobeaza planul de tratament din cabinet si planul de tratament din laborator. De ce vorbim de doua planuri de tratament?
Deoarece strategia, viziunea si predictibilitatea planului de tratament protetic indirect se continua intr-un laborator de tehnica dentara unde de fapt se executa lucrarile protetice de orice fel. Daca acest laborator nu primeste toate informatiile legate de programarea articulatorului arcon si transferul pozitiei osului maxilar cu arcul facial sau cu condilograful atunci lucrarea protetica se va realiza aleatoriu si nu functional.
